I just got a 6th call from those "Second Notice: Your factory warrenty is about to expire..." assholes. I told them 2 months ago to stop friggin calling me. I held on the line (for the 2nd time) to tell someone in person to remove me from the damn list, don't give my number out, and do not call again... The first one told me "Yes Ma'am, but it takes 10 days for this to become active". That was okay... this one? He scoffed and hung up on me!

Did you know it's illegal for telemarketers to call a cellphone? ... Why yes, yes it is!

I really need to learn to stop getting my hopes up about stuff.

I've been bouncing around all giddy since yesterday, because I'd answered an add on craigslist for a 95 Firebird and was supposed to be getting the car today.

I'd offered $500 a month payments until Febuary, and the guy had agreed. I was supposed to call him at 4PM today and he was going to bring the car to the airport and I'd give him the first payment and he'd hand me the keys.

So I called just now, and he tells me that someone offered him $2,000 cash up front today... which is what I was afraid of, and why I'd offered him $200 MORE then he was even asking for him to hold it and accept payments!

I guess it's true what they say that the average joe would rather take $9 now then $10 tomorrow...

Most people on craigslist will haggle you down at least $500... it's expected, even... But then you get these fucking pot growers that treat two thousand dollars like petty cash and throw the damn economy around here all too hell for the rest of us. Grrr!!!

I've been sharing my car with Zy for nearly 3 months now, and we've both been without wheels since the neon died a few weeks ago. He's having to quit his job because he can't get to work, and I had to walk to work in the rain last weekend because the bus doesn't run until 10AM (as if people who have to ride the bus get to sleep in on weekends?! No way - they're working!) I hate it!

I was so exited too, because it was such a perfect little car for me! I even had plans to suprise Zy with it by not telling him until he got home tomorow.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't tell him after all, because now it's not happening. Getting that car was supposed to be the highlight of my day (& an early birthday gift to myself) and it got shot... killed my whole mood and my plans for tomorrow to pick Zy up.

I'll have to borrow Ruby's car to come get him after all.

*The guy told me that if the cash offer falls through, he'll give me a call back... but now I don't know if I want to do business with him. He seemed really sorry and said he felt like an ass... so I'm not pissed off or anything, I just don't feel as eager about such huge payments as I did when I thought it was a secure deal.
